Walter Smith were winners of a Diamond Award in the prepared foods category for its Steak & Onion pie, the judges congratulating the company for producing a pie that was “full of tender meat” with a “good beefy taste”.
The winners were revealed on Saturday 17 May at the glittering black tie 'Dinner of the Decade' where ten leading chefs from across the region, led by Andreas Antona from Simpsons in Birmingham, prepared a ten-course menu for 300 guests from the food and drink industry.

Walter Smith provided the sausages manned the bbq and donated all the takings at this year's Knowle Charity Fun Run organised by Knowle & Dorridge Lions. The event raises money for The Meningitis Trust, The Jennifer Trust and Acorns.
